Coffee Instead of Snacking

Those last few pounds are the sucky part. You are almost there, but NOT! Your friends tell you that you are skinny, maybe too skinny, but you don’t think so. This does not mean you have an eating disorder. You just have a goal you are trying to hit. Personally, I don’t have an eating disorder, so this will not be about that. I am talking about a 5’3’’ girl wanting to weigh 120 pounds, nothing like 103 or something. Every girl has a different target for a different height. I am not a model although I am hot, just kidding. My husband would tell you differently. I am talking about reaching that goal and having reached it in the past, but now a little heavier.
My wedding weight was 120 and now I am just a few pounds above that, yeah I cannot complain too much, but there are a lot of girls in my boat. They are so close and just cannot reach it. My struggle is that I like to eat, which everyone I know does. Food is amazing, but that is the issue. We need to eat to live, not live to eat. As, I am sitting here I have gone back and forth in my head if I should go get another coffee. The honest reason why I like coffee is this, coffee suppresses my appetite and makes me feel full. “Coffee”, does not mean get a Mocha or Caramel Macchiato, that is a meal or snack. I am talking about an Americano with one pump or favoring and some skim milk. Yes, it still has calories, but like I said, I like it because it makes me feel full and gives me that stimulation of having something in my hand. Can you relate?

  1. I like your honesty! I think that this is a good idea. My roommate is a coffeeaholic, and I am really starting to enjoy it more myself. I think that for me, I have a big goal to reach, but at the same time, I LOVE food and struggle when it comes to feeling full an hour later as well. I think the "having something in your hand" syndrome can be the biggest downfall to reaching a goal, either that or the "always needing something in your mouth" syndrome. Thanks for the great idea!

  2. In regards to coffee, I would not suggest to become addicted if possible. I try to limit myself to one drink a day. I usually do it in the mid-morning or afternoon when you usually want to munch. Don't forget to use skim milk and limited sugar. ;p I also suggest tea. Tea is a huge life saver when it comes to just wanting something in your hand. I usually drink it plain without adding anything to it!

    1. Oh! Thanks! Great advice. I typically don't add a lot of sugar, I've kind of gotten used to not drinking sweet things. I don't like soda, and I have to really be in the "mood" for juice, and usually then it has to be 100%. I have a lot of tea, I might make a big pitcher of tea and chill it, than I can have a nice cool drink for the scorching HOT weather coming! I have a bunch of different types of tea.
