I was at the gym the other day and when I weighed myself I
was trying to keep moving it to the left, but I couldn’t. I had gained some
weight. I was at least 5 pounds heavier- maybe a little more, but that is
honest enough. If I had a friend there, she would probably say something like
“Well muscle weights more that fat, sooo…”
Come on, you know the truth, you ate
too many sweets thinking it would not go to your thighs, but now it is slowly
creeping on. When you are already pretty skinny, fat can hide a little before
it sneaks up on you. But when I realized I gained some weight, it was more of a
wake up call. I need to be more cautious about what I eat and how much. Of
course add some more cardio too.
So now I have accepted the fact that I am pounds away from my goal, but
it is possible to reach with some discipline. What are some of your personal goals?

I can totally relate to this! A good friend of mine once told me how she had taught/trained her children to be more self-controlled and self-disciplined, I want to take her advice and work on my own control and discipline. I have set a few goals for myself this summer, one of which is starting my new healthier lifestyle, where I eat better, and exercise more. Another would be to complete the 60 Insanity program, as well as continue to use the program on a regular basic to keep fit and active. A dear sister in Christ asked me if I would run a 5k with her this year sometime, I have yet to complete a mile, but I would like to by the end of the summer! I have a lot of goals really, but ultimately they all lead back to the same thing, self-control and self-discipline to do what is right in the sight of the Lord! Satan, here I come!
ReplyDeleteWhen keeping an exercise goal, I have found it the best when you have a buddy to do it with. When you know someone is waiting for you and excepting you to workout, you usually make it happen regardless how lazy you feel!
ReplyDeleteI agree! I am going to be working out with my friend this summer three times a week! I think that I will be more apt to workout also since I have a specific time and day I HAVE to be there! Discipline here I come!
DeleteIt all depends when you weigh yourself as well. Your weight can fluctuate 3-5 pounds due to what you had to eat and drink throughout the day. Plus when you work out your muscles fill with water. You may weigh more but it's not necessarily fat. You should weigh yourself at the same time everyday. To be most accurate, first thing in the morning, naked, after you've peed.
ReplyDeleteMy personal goal is to get back in the habit of eating breakfast everyday. That is something I have been seriously lacking on the last couple weeks. Breakfasts really is the most important meal of the day. It jump starts your metabolism, makes your mind more focused, and prevents cravings throughout the day.
